Patented in March of 1914, the Filson Cruiser was designed for foresters cruising timber ahead of logging crews. The original was made from warm Mackinaw Wool and available as a pullover or button-front jacket. In the 1970s Filson introduced a version that was treated for water resistance but wasn’t waxed, and now it’s returned. Tin Cloth is a tightly-woven duck canvas with exceptional tear strength and abrasion resistance.
